I found this one on eBay near by where I live. I think it has been for sale by a collector for a while now. It appears to be an early car,but not super early as it looks to be a 9/78 build date.

If anyone wants me to look at it I will. I wish I had the funds as this one while not as early as mine is in better shape.

Yeah my car has the chrome strips on the dash, and the door panels if I remember right. I love the little quirks this car has compared to almost every other SA I see. If I ever lose the car somehow i will try to find another early car as I really love them. I actually love that my car doesn't have the A/C,and sunroof.

Odd interior bits like the dual chrome stripe trim. Early only color combinations, ie dual color schemes. Plaid interiors etc. Basically documenting where these started and ended to help others restoring their early SAs. You car is odd only when compared to all other SAs not the early cars. And yes it is odd that it is a GS package without moonroof, but not A/C. A/C typically was a dealer or port installed item and then only dependent upon final shipping location.

He Dave,
What are the odd interior packages you speak of? I know of the lack of map pockets, hood rod,and mirror thing, but I don't think my car has an odd interior. It is odd that it is a GS,but has no moonroof,or A/C,but the interior is black.

Plenty early enough I see early as going all the way to 10/78 build dates. Welcome

Mine isn't super early, but for an original East coast car it is. 5/78 build date, and I am the second owner.
